AC Saver ™ is designed to commercially available, vertical free standing condenser units. For large 5 ton condensers, the bungee cords will stretch to fit. The AC Saver ™ does not need to cover the entire air intake area to work.

The flow control valve allows you to set the amount of water flowing into the AC Saver ™. It is recommended the water flow rate is set so only a few drops of water are seen falling to the ground on a hot day when the condenser is running. This should result in approximately 1.5 to 2.0 gallons of water used per hour of use, less than one load of laundry.

Any watering timer can be set to turn water on at a time of day when temperatures get above 80 degrees. Certain watering timers will keep the water on for a duration of more than 4 hours. The Huskey Smart Watering Timer is recommended to keep water on for longer periods and fully controlled through your smart phone.

Referencing the installation instructions: The valve has markings “OFF”, “1”, “2”, “3”, “MAX”. Actual flow rate is affected by your home’s water line pressure. Use these reference markings to remember the setting that had best result with minimum water dripping at the bottom.

Yes, AC Saver is made of 100% polyester and is cleanable by hand washing with mild detergent. Over time, hard mineral deposits will accumulate on the AC Saver ™, which can be partially removed by soaking in a 50% CLR + 50% water mix for 2 minutes. It is recommended to replace AC Saver ™ every few years for maximum performance.
